MMP Consultancy is seeking a Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities on behalf of an NHS Trust based in Essex. This is a permanent position paying 107k per annum, with the ideal candidate starting as soon as possible. Previous experience within the NHS at Director level is non-negotiable.
This is a senior role in the organisation that has the overarching day-to-day and long-term strategic responsibility for the safety, security and management of the built environment. Building and developing a team to deliver will be a critical success factor to support them to deliver the following duties and responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of the Trust's estate strategy.
* Manage capital projects, including redevelopment and major infrastructure planning.
* Oversee all aspects of estates management, facilities management, and commercial services.
* Ensure statutory compliance, governance, and risk management for the built environment.
* Manage substantial budgets and drive cost improvement programmes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in a relevant discipline; post-graduate qualification preferred.
* Chartered professional registration/accreditation (e.g., RIBA, CIOB, RICS, CIBSE).
* Significant senior management experience in estates and facilities within a large organisation.
* Proven experience in managing major change, financial control, and strategic planning.
