We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Vendor Manager on behalf of our well known client to oversee our vendor relationships and ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain processes.

The Commercial Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing vendor management best practice throughout the Facilities Management Service Provision (Hard & Soft Services) across all the operating sites in conjunction with Site Leads.

Working in partnership with the wider Procurement, Operations and Health & Safety teams and business stakeholders, the Commercial Vendor Manager will provide ongoing oversight of the key strategic vendors to deliver long term operational efficiency and financial benefits, whilst minimising business risk.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing the performance of key strategic vendors
  • Provide oversight of operational partnerships and key third parties, including designing and monitoring KPI's and ensuring vendors meet contractual requirements and SLA's
  • Undertake vendor due diligence in line with company requirements
  • In conjunction with Procurement teams, define, develop and deliver, short, medium to long term category strategies that are aligned to stakeholder and business needs.
  • Ensuring vendor compliance with company standards
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers
  • Raise all central Facilities purchase orders for Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, Minor Works, Capital Projects & Soft Services in line with company Purchase to Pay Process.
  • Managing vendor purchase order and billing processes for cost control

Experience

  • Educated to Degree Level in a Business or Engineering related field (desirable)
  • MCIPS or working towards MCIPS status (desirable)
  • Vendor Management Experience
  • Facilities Management Sourcing Experience
  • Basic understanding of Facilities Management operations and technical requirements (RAMS, Permit to Work, SFG20, HTM Standards, Waste Disposal etc)
