DIGITAL PRINT OPERATOR

WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW

ROLE DETAILS

o Collect and process work sent down from the repro/print department.

o Ensure that the work is sized correctly, and the appropriate correction curve is applied, QC to job requirements.

o Maintain and process work according to the production schedule.

o Notify the supervisor/manager when a major issue is encountered.

o Problem solve minor issues, to ensure that the work flows smoothly through the department;

o Maintain the machinery to manufacturers recommendations.

o Keep work area and machinery clean and tidy

o Select the correct media profile then rip the job to be printed (training will be given if needed).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

o Thorough knowledge of print production practices and processes.

o Experience with HP Flatbeds, Agfa.

o Understanding Windows Operating systems

o Operational experience with print.

o Demonstrable attention to detail.

o Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious.

o Flexible and effective team member.
