An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive General Manager with experience in the aviation industry to take the reins of a well-established aircraft component repair and overhaul business. The role is pivotal in steering the company towards continued success by implementing strategic business plans and ensuring efficient operations across all facets of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company's daily operations and maintain accountability for the execution of business strategies.
  • Engage with senior management to align on and execute long-term business objectives and plans, including necessary investments.
  • Drive sales growth, enhance the brand's market presence, and foster a customer-centric business ethos.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for high-profile international clients within the aerospace industry.
  • Manage a significant volume of RFQ's, determining competitive pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure contract fulfilment in accordance with customer specifications and regulatory approvals.
  • Champion quality and timely delivery, while driving cost efficiency's and optimising capacity utilisation.
  • Direct the recruitment, training, and management of personnel, ensuring alignment with future business requirements.
  • Instil a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, and excellence, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proactively seek cost-saving measures, streamline processes to avoid order delays, and improve overall customer service.
  • Uphold and periodically assess adherence to Quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety standards.
  • Stay informed of industry developments and regulatory changes.

  • Proficiency in IT, with exceptional planning and organisational capabilities. Familiarity with TracWare / AeroTrac is beneficial.

  • A self-starter with a high degree of initiative, credibility, and the ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
  • A track record of reviewing and improving business processes to enhance overall performance.
