We are seeking a skilled and tenacious Business Intelligence/Data Analyst to join my clients team. The ideal candidate will transform data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making across their direct-to-consumer operation. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to design, implement, and optimise reporting systems and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation:

    • Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Provide actionable recommendations to improve business processes and outcomes.
    • Analyse performance metrics across a range of products to support customer acquisition and engagement.
    • Identify opportunities to improve data collection and analysis processes to enhance overall efficiency and data quality.
    • Develop and manage the operation’s data performance report and present to key stakeholders.
  • Data Modelling:

    • Work with stakeholders to research the market, interpret data, and assist in the development of business cases that will deliver change.
    • Assist in the development and interpretation of data models to optimise spend and deliver improved performance.
  • Performance Monitoring:

    • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Monitor data trends and anomalies to pre-empt and rectify potential issues.
  • Reporting & Visualisation:

    • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations using tools like ThoughtSpot or Power BI.
    • Ensure reports are tailored to meet the specific needs of various departments.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive dashboards, reports, and metrics.
  • Industry/Competitor Research:

    • Conduct research to understand the competitive landscape in terms of product and pricing.
    • Develop insights that will assist in the development of business cases to exploit market opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Organised and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines with high-quality output.
  • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy in process and outputs.
  • Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness to manage the needs of different stakeholders.
  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence/Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applied statistical methods using R, Python, or similar.
  • Degree in Business or Data Analytics, Technology, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or similar.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and SQL.
  • Experience in supporting and utilising IT Applications and Platforms, as well as Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
