We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and alignment with customer and company requirements. This role is pivotal in supporting and achieving company policies, procedures, and corporate initiatives within the department. The ideal candidate will develop, lead, and coach staff to meet production schedules and exceed customer expectations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage warehouse operations and equipment, ensuring the supply of warehouse inventory meets both customer and company requirements.
- Maintain stock location accuracy for raw materials, bases, and consumables.
- Oversee inventory receiving and supply processes.
- Plan and organise the warehouse, ensuring coordination with other departments.
- Implement and oversee waste accountability measures.
- Lead, motivate, and coach the department workforce positively to ensure business objectives and site goals are fulfilled.
- Conduct regular training sessions and maintain the department training matrix.
- Adhere to and enforce safety and housekeeping standards within the department.
- Review and train out SOPs for the department.
- Implement the 5S system, conducting and reporting monthly visual audits.
- Drive engagement and communication within departments through support of company initiatives.
- Support the Manufacturing Manager in investigating operational issues related to customer complaints to determine root causes and implement remedies.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain logistics.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
- Proficient in computer applications and software relevant to warehouse management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
