Monday-Friday 3-Shift Pattern
Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. They are looking for a number of Quality Controllers to join their growing quality assurance team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- As a quality controller you main responsibility is to ensure all food products and services meet consistent standards of quality assurance for food manufacturing
- Maintaining & improving quality systems, processes & procedures
- Implement and maintain the QMS
- Hands-on product inspection to ensure quality
- Make sure all food quality standards are met - internal & external audits
- Document and report non-conformances
- Sampling, sample preparation and arrange samples to be sent to external laboratories
- Address any customer quality concerns effciently
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years experience in a similar quality assurance / control position
- Must have worked in food manufacturing
- Ideally Degree qualified in Food Tech / Science
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 3
- HACCP Level 3
- Enthusiastic approach & self-motivated
- Results orientated with good problem solving & organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of QMS and quality tools
- Quality standards experience - ISO 9001 / ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / BRC Standards
