Main Duties

This position offers a great deal of variety with on-job training provided.

The roles responsibilities will include the following:

  • Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and legislation.
  • Mechanical assembly, modification, and repair of hardware
  • Regular checking of tools and machinery.
  • Soldering
  • Mechanical and Electrical testing.
  • Completion of forms and maintenance records.
  • Understand quality requirements and proactively report issues/observations.
  • The role will also offer the opportunity to work occasionally away from the main facility in Harlow.

Candidate Skills

Essential

  • Previous experience of working in electrical and mechanical technician role.
  • Able to follow strict company Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
  • Proficient in using tools for repair and manufacture of equipment.
  • Ability to work accurately and to deadlines
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Desirable

  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems
  • Previous experience in an Aerospace or Defence working environment.
  • Drivers Licence
  • UK Passport
  • Willingness to travel when required.
