Health & Safety Advisor

Experienced Health & Safety Advisor required to assist with the delivery of a 100M new highways project based in Southampton, Hampshire. This is a negotiated project for a key client with a good pipeline of future works in the area.

Reporting into the visiting Head of H&S and collaborating directly with the operational team and Project Manager with handover anticipated to take place in 2029.

This Health & Safety Advisor role will involve regular client liaison, highways construction methodology, supporting site teams and ensuring safety standards are compliant with business & client standards, developing risk assessments and regularly conducting health & safety inspections and audits.

As Health & Safety Advisor your role is to ensure site safety and ensure the relevant training is conducted to staff to ensure a safe working environment.

This Health & Safety advisor role is within a busy Tier 1 Civils contractor who specialise in array of heavy civils and infrastructure schemes including railway infrastructure, aviation, energy, water, and environmental infrastructure.

Projects range in size from 250,000 to 100M and on large frameworks ranging up to 9BN. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor looking to work regionally or an experienced and ambitious highways biased Health & Safety advisor looking to expand their experience.

Key attributes will include proven track record working on similar schemes, excellent client and site team management ability proven technical and contractual knowledge plus a focused and driven nature.
