- Hourly rate: £19.69 to £21 per hour PAYE, depending on experience (up to £26.82 via umbrella)

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team, reporting to the Financial Controller. This role is crucial for supporting Trust-wide financial control and reporting, with a focus on year-end processes and audit preparations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support the Principal Financial Accountant in the production and development of financial analysis for Trust Management and Board papers, ensuring all information is accurate and timely.
- Assist in ensuring robust financial reporting systems and processes are in place for the Senior Finance Team and external stakeholders.
- Handle monthly VAT submissions and coordinate responses to VAT queries.
- Assist in the annual insurance renewal process and take the lead on specific processes and exercises for the completion of statutory financial reports.
- Maintain and monitor information across various databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
- Process month-end journals, perform variance analysis, and review financial information regularly.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, providing financial advice in line with policies and procedures.
- AAT Qualified (Level 4) or equivalent.
- Significant experience in accounting, preferably within a large organisation.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
- Analytical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Oracle or similar systems is ideal.
- Knowledge of NHS financial regimes is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of balance sheets and experience in reconciliation.
