Financial Controller, Harrogate, £55,000-£65,000Due to growth, an established SME business in Harrogate is recruiting for a full time Chartered Financial Controller.Reporting to their MD, you will responsible for adding value and maximising profitability for the business. You will manage a finance team of 5 and be responsible for reporting the financial performance of the company to their Group Financial Controller on a monthly basis as part of Group reporting.Duties:• Providing daily, weekly and monthly commercial information to management • Timely production and presentation of Monthly Management Accounts Pack to Group FC.• Understand, report, and make recommendations on KPI’s and cost drivers.• Identify efficiencies to improve and drive profitability.• Ensure costs are monitored and explain budget variances.• Ensure all control and intercompany a/c’s are reconciled monthly.• Timely production and presentation of year end accounts and a full audit pack to include control sheets for all balance sheet items.• Present all necessary files and records to Auditor.• Report to senior management on results of audit. Ensure all statutory returns are filed on time.• All Revenue/taxation issues, including, monthly P30 returns, bi-monthly Vat returns, Corporation tax.• Cash Flow management. Ensure Debtors and Creditors ledgers are closely maintained and up to date.• Cashflow forecasting, setting annual budgets etc.

Requirements• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification.• At least 4 years post qualification experience at management level in an SME• Experience working in a technical or engineering business would be preferred• A good knowledge and appreciation of accounting procedures and packages and Excel.• An ability to communicate at all levels within the company, both written and verbally.• Have experience in reporting into a Group is preferable but not essential.Benefits:• Casual dress• Company events• Company pension• Cycle to work scheme
