Robert Half Finance and Accounting are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a progressive business based in Harrogate. You will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. You will play a key role in internal audits, financial reporting, and supporting the company's goals through robust processes. Your expertise will enhance strategic decision-making and maintain the integrity of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Lead internal audit processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyse financial data and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Preparation of statutory accountants.
  • Work closely with external auditors and collaborate on audit documentation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting guidelines, including statutory audits.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified Financial Controller
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and internal audit processes
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex financial information simply and clearly.
