The Role

Reporting into the Director's of the business and working on a part-time basis, duties and responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's financial operations and controls.
  • Prepare, review, and present accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including tax filings, VAT returns, and annual audits.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing financial systems, processes, and internal controls to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and assist operational teams in managing budgets effectively.
  • Manage cash flow, including forecasting and working capital management, to support business operations.

The Candidate

To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:

  • Must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally within a facilities management, property services, or related industry (but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulations, and compliance obligations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively, given the part-time nature of the role.
