Are you an experienced Accountant based around the Harrogate area, looking for a part time position in a reputable Harrogate-based company? If so, we have the opportunity you've been looking for! This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting who is looking to take on greater responsibility and work closely with a diverse range of clients. As Part Time Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of the full range of accountancy services for clients, including preparation of management accounts, financial statements, tax returns, VAT returns, and business advice. The role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering excellent client service. Key Responsibilities as Part Time Senior Accountant:
  • Preparation of financial statements for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
  • Managing the preparation and submission of VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for client queries.
  • Assisting with audits and managing client expectations throughout the process.
  • Supporting clients with management accounts, forecasting, and business advice.
Requirements:
  • ACA / ACCA or similar, or qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience in an accountancy practice environment, with a good understanding of UK tax and accounting regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software packages.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
In return the successful Part Time Senior Accountant will receive a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience, working 3-4 days a week across Monday to Friday.
