Following recent significant growth, we are building a new team to manage the sales and marketing of a key academic and professional textbook publishing client. We are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager, responsible for the overall marketing strategy and promotion of textbooks in print and digital. As part of a niche team, you will report to the Client Lead. The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing manager, with knowledge of the publishing industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage partnerships with relevant associations
  • Campaign delivery from start to finish, analysing results as appropriate
  • Social media management
  • Design and delivery of digital and printed marketing materials such as promotional flyers and adverts
  • Ownership and allocation of marketing budget
  • Organising and executing marketing campaigns to academics, practitioners and trade
  • Working with wider teams to ensure marketing efforts are co-ordinated
  • Deliver bi-annual client reports
  • Organising and attending academic conferences within the UK and EU to represent out client publishers books
  • Client management
  • Building a CRM contact database

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of email management systems (e.g. MailChimp)
  • Knowledge of website management (e.g. WordPress)
  • Experience with social media management (i.e. TweetDeck)
  • Knowledge of publishing / content management systems would be an advantage
  • Experience of marketing academic text books
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal form
  • Positive, proactive and professional approach
