Groundworker

Brownlee Cale are working with a Civils firm on a project in Harrogate who are looking to hire Groundworkers to assist with drainage, concreting and externals. 

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair drainage systems, ensuring proper drainage flow.
• Lay foundations and prepare groundworks for external projects, including roads, pavements, and other external features.
• Conduct excavation and backfilling operations as required by the project.
• Operate machinery such as excavators, dumper trucks, and other site equipment.
• Work with concrete, kerbs, drainage pipes, and other construction materials.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
• Read and follow site plans and specifications.
• Assist with general labouring duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Groundworker on civils projects, with a focus on drainage and externals.
• Experience in excavation, backfilling, and working with drainage systems.
• Familiarity with operating construction machinery.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and construction regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans and specifications.
• CSCS card required (or equivalent).
• CPCS/NPORS ticket for plant operation 
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
