We are seeking a Finance/Accounts Manager to join our established Client in Harrogate. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and loves a varied working day. Think old school office manager role as you will be able to get involved in a little bit of everything.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct cash flow forecasting to ensure financial stability.
  • Prepare and manage month-end financial journals.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage accruals and prepayments for accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee fixed asset management and tracking.
  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
  • Handle sales invoices, including credit control and receipt allocations.
  • Process purchase invoices, including statement reconciliation and payment runs.
  • Analyse and manage credit card transactions.
  • HR administration including sickness, recruitment administration etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an accountancy position.
  • Previous experience within HR administration would be preferred.
  • Capable of handling sales and purchase invoices, credit card analysis, and other accounting tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
