We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This position offers the unique chance to support students across two welcoming school sites. Immediate start for full-time roles is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support, helping young students engage in learning activities and understand key concepts.
  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans, offering tailored guidance to students across all levels of ability.
  • Work closely with students on both a one-to-one and group basis to support learning, social skills, and development.
  • Aid in maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth and self-confidence.
  • Support students during break and transition times to ensure their well-being throughout the school day.
  • Help prepare learning materials, resources, and support any classroom activities as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and staff across both sites to provide consistent support.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-age children in an educational setting.
  • A calm, patient approach, with the ability to foster a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • A commitment to encouraging student well-being, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.
  • DBS check required (or willingness to complete one).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across two sites within the Harrogate area.
