We are searching for a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor who has prior FMCG production experience to drive technical and cultural safety processes within a global FMCG manufacturer in Harrogate.Key Benefits:

    • £45,000 pa , dependent on experience

The RoleThe successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment, in line with legal and EHS requirements, whilst leading and developing a culture of safety across the facility. You will partner with all site teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide guidance, assistance, and challenge on EHS matters as needed.
    • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and lead HSE audits.
    • Develop a culture of safety engagement and communicate successes across the business.
    • Oversee COSHH manual management and submission of data for compliance.
    • Conduct EHS inspections and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Assist in accident investigations and provide recommendations for prevention.
    • Review and align policies, procedures, and documentation with management systems.
    • Maintain records related to EHS, including ISO 14001 standards.
    • Collaborate with the Health & Safety Network to ensure compliance with company policy.
    • Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
Key Skills & Experience:
    • Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
    • Strong demonstrable experience in a plant/production environment; preferably within FMCG.
    • Knowledge of EHS law and best practice.
    • A recognised H&S qualification; NEBOSH dip or equivalent.
    • Experience with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.
    • Waste Management expertise.
    • Strong training identification and delivery skills.
