We’re recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a brilliant business located on the outskirts of Harrogate. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving, supportive environment where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function.
What you’ll be doing -
This role is fully focused on the purchase ledger process, giving you ownership and variety within your daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Performing supplier account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Managing the supplier onboarding process, including setting up new suppliers
- Handling and resolving invoice queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Assisting with payment runs
- Maintaining the purchase ledger email inbox, ensuring queries are addressed in a timely manner
- Supporting the implementation of improved processes within the accounts payable function
What we’re looking for -
- Previous experience in accounts payable/purchase ledger or a busy, fast-paced administrative role
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of transactions
- Strong communication skills for effective supplier and stakeholder liaison
- Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
