Specialist SEMH School in Harrogate (HG3)

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting on behalf of a Specialist school in Harrogate who are looking for a PE Instructor who is available on a full-time basis and who is seeking a permanent position starting in the new year.

This role is suitable for any candidates who have a coaching or sports/PE based degree and who has experience delivering and teaching sports to KS2 - KS4 students.

The school is located in HG3 and due to no public transport routes directly to the school, candidates applying for this role must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle. This is a specialist school that caters for students who have high-levels of Anxiety and therefore display physical and verbal behaviour. Candidates applying for this role must have an understanding or experience of working with students from 8 - 16 years who have Social and Emotional Mental health needs.

Successful applications will have:

  • Coaching or PE/Sports based degree
  • Experience working with KS3 - KS5 students aged between 8 - 16 years
  • Experience or knowledge of working with students with SEMH needs
  • Full-time availability and seeking a permanent role
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
  • Full-time availability from January 2025
  • 2x professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
