Purpose of Post
Lead the 24-hour service that provides support and care to young people from 16-25 years old, with a wide range of disabilities and complex needs.
Person Specification
Recent experience of successfully managing medium to large scale residential care provision
Previous experience of working with people with learning disabilities
Extensive experience of CQC compliance and current inspection processes
Financial and budget management skills
Previous experience of leading and managing a team
Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures
Formal qualification or training related to Safeguarding or willingness to achieve within predetermined timescale
NVQ 5 or equivalent, in Health and Social care
Responsibilities-
Effectively line manager, support and motivate a team of House Managers
Promote close working relationships and effective communication with other College and Charity wide departments ensuring the student is at the Centre of everything we do.
To oversee the management of the House Managers, Assistant House Managers and SWARs, assisting with HR processes where appropriate
Ensuring that all resources are effectively managed and monitored in line with budgetary constraints, taking an active role in the overview of the resources allocated.
To ensure staffing of services is managed in a cost-effective manner, overseeing management of rotas
Manage recruitment agency relationships and minimize temporary agency spend in line with budget requirements
Work as part of the College Senior Leadership Team to deliver on the vision and strategy of the Principal and Trustee Board.
Line Management Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding leadership and management of the section; ensuring the provision of a first-class service to both internal and external customers and service users
Ensure the team maintain high standards of performance and behaviour, taking appropriate action to address any areas of concern in line with employment policies, with support from HR where applicable
