Impression Recruitment is delighted to be assisting a well-established firm in their search for a Senior Tax Adviser to join their talented team of tax professionals in their Harrogate office. You will be focused on leading mixed taxation services, with a particular emphasis on personal tax, while also overseeing tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of individuals, entrepreneurs, and their businesses. As a trusted member of the team, you will be given flexibility surrounding your working hours with a hybrid working pattern also included. Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearheading tax advisory initiatives and working closely with senior management on strategic planning issues, including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, and methods of profit extraction.
  • Performing technical reviews of personal, partnership, trust, and corporate tax computations.
  • Overseeing the preparation of P11D forms and reviewing submissions made by junior staff.
  • Managing tax compliance for a wide variety of clients.
  • Preparing necessary disclosures for HMRC.
  • Building and nurturing effective client relationships.
  • Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.
  • Providing technical tax support to colleagues, directors, and clients across the firm.
Skills Required As Senior Tax Adviser:
  • 5+ years experience within a tax advisory position (preferable).
  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in UK tax matters.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
As the successful Senior Tax Adviser you will a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience, working a 37.5 hour week with flexible working hours and a hybrid working pattern.
