Bennett & Game are delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable accountancy practice in Harrow, as they look to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team. This firm are offering a competitive salary ranging from £40-50k (DOE), 1 day hybrid working, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, statutory pension, statutory sick pay, study support, and wellbeing support.

This is a 3 partner firm, who are growing, and are looking to expand further.

This role will be mostly accounts and tax focused with less than 20% audit. You will be working as a PA to 2 partners looking after a portfolio of clients, and managing the workflow for the 2 partners, training and supervising junior members of the team. Senior Accountant Job Overview
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts, for a varied portfolio of clients
  • Produce and oversee the preparation of management accounts ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare and review corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, and partnership tax filings
  • Advise clients on potential tax planning opportunities
  • Less than 20% of the role is audit based, requiring you to lead a small amount of audits
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact
  • Serving as a PA to 2 partners, working closely alongside them, managing workflow
  • Review work of junior staff, offering supervision and training
Senior Accountant Job Requirements
  • Preferably ACCA, ACA, FCCA, ICAEW qualified
  • Minimum of 3 years accountancy practice experience
  • Prior experience as a senior accountant
  • Experienced in managing a portfolio of clients, and delivering to expectations
  • No requirement for visa sponsorship
  • Polite, personable, and professional
Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits
  • £40-50k per annum, dependant on experience (can be higher)
  • 1 day per week of hybrid working. Working in office is preferred
