The Role

As a Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Managing and supporting monthly consolidations for group reporting.
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to support audit processes.
  • Contributing to financial reporting improvements and streamlining processes.
  • Providing insightful analysis to enhance business decision-making.
  • Reporting on any variances for Actual Vs Budget and additional commentary against the budget to provide to senior stakeholders

About You

To thrive in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong technical accounting background.
  • Experience in either a practice environment (recently qualified) or industry financial reporting roles with consolidations exposure.
  • Familiarity with large business environments is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
