Robert Half have partnered with a global FMCG business based in Chiswick, London. We are currently recruiting an Italian-Speaking Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing the financial reporting for the Italian market, ensuring compliance with Italian local GAAP and supporting the growth of their international operations and wider EMEA support.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the financial accounting and reporting for the Italian entity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management and year-end financial accounts
  • Managing and supporting monthly consolidations for group reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with Italian local GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Providing financial reporting and analysis for the Italian entity, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Supporting annual internal and external audit processes
  • Stakeholder engagement

Qualifications/experience

  • Fluency in Italian (both written and spoken) and the ability to report under Italian GAAP.
  • Ideally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong technical accounting skills.
  • Industry experience - financial accounting or management accounting background
  • Previous experience managing financial reporting for an Italian entity is essential.
  • A background in a large business environment is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
