They are looking for a dynamic FP&A Commercial Manager to join a thriving business. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving business performance. You'll play a key part in financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making, partnering closely with operations and leadership to maximize profitability and efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Commercial FP&A Leadership

  • Partner with the commercial and operational teams to drive profitability across multiple brands and locations.
  • Lead the development of advanced financial models to evaluate business scenarios and inform decision-making.
  • Provide strategic support on pricing, revenue optimisation, and investment appraisal to ensure commercial goals are achieved.
  • Prepare monthly business review packs and present insights at MD/Head of Finance meetings, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities that influence performance.

Performance Reporting & Insights

  • Develop and refine KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and providing clarity to drive operational and commercial improvements.
  • Deliver clear, concise management information reports to empower stakeholders across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and enhance profitability through data-driven recommendations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the preparation and review of annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts, ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy.
  • Ensure financial models and forecasts reflect real-time data and strategic initiatives.
  • Support working capital management, including accurate forecasting and promoting improvements in billing and debt ledger management.

Commercial Contract Oversight

  • Provide financial oversight for contract amendments, pricing strategies, and service pricing.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of volumetric and contractual mechanisms, mitigating risks and maximizing opportunities.

Investment Analysis

  • Critically appraise capital investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial viability.
  • Monitor and challenge post-investment performance to ensure return-on-investment objectives are met.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Commercial FP&A role with a strong focus on strategic business partners.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting within a multi-brand or retail environment.
  • Demonstrable success in delivering insights that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • A proactive approach to solving complex problems and driving process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • While professional qualifications (e.g., CIMA/ACCA/ACA) are not essential, equivalent experience is required.
