We are seeking a dedicated Technician in Art and Design with a specialism in 3D to join our vibrant Art and Design Department. This role is crucial in supporting both students and lecturers by preparing materials, demonstrating techniques, and maintaining equipment across various art and design disciplines.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for art and design projects.
  • Demonstrate various artistic techniques, with a focus on 3D art, to students and staff.
  • Maintain and manage the upkeep of art and design equipment and facilities.
  • Supervise classes during Active Learning Facilitator sessions and cover for unplanned teacher absences when necessary.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to students, enhancing their learning experience in the art and design field.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Technician in Art and Design, with a strong focus on 3D techniques.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage materials and equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a wide range of art and design techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively support and instruct students.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining safety and efficiency in the workspace.
