We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicatedYear 2 Teacherto join our vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Harrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and support our Year 2 pupils as they progress through Key Stage 1 and prepare for their transition to Key Stage 2. OFSTED rated GOOD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that follow the Curriculum for Year 2
  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to help children reach their full potential
  • Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independent learning and curiosity
  • Support the development of key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and social skills, ensuring a holistic approach to learning

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
  • A sound understanding of the Year 2 curriculum, including preparation for SATs assessments
  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting the development of young children

Desirable:

  • Experience in differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting literacy and numeracy development in Year 2
  • Familiarity with current educational trends and best practices
