Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per year + Pension Scheme + free lunches

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-line support to staff and students via phone, email, and in person, ensuring that technical issues are promptly resolved.
  • Log and maintain support requests, keeping users informed of progress and providing efficient solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve network, software, and hardware issues, performing basic maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and support of networked PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Support the configuration, installation, and testing of hardware and software solutions for end users.
  • Maintain the asset database and all relevant IT documentation to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Assist the IT team with project work, and support school events, including technical rehearsals and AV setup.
  • Ensure the safe storage and security of equipment when not in use.
  • Promote the effective use of IT within the school, ensuring compliance with IT-related policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 2 years’ experience supporting IT systems, including troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments (including AAD and Intune).
  • Familiarity with Audio Visual Equipment and the support of multimedia systems for events and presentations.
  • Experience using an IT service desk system to handle incident requests and ticket management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail with a flexible attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Passion for IT and continuous professional development, with the drive to learn new skills and technologies.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 frameworks and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with network infrastructure and Wi-Fi equipment support.
  • Understanding of managed antivirus systems and network security.
  • Previous experience in supporting large-scale school productions or events.
