Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our team. This is a site-based role working at a local school in Harrow. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school's IT infrastructure, providing technical supportin a Windows, Azure, Office 365 environment, and maintaining a positive user experience for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide on-site technical support to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

- Manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and peripherals.

- Install, configure, and update software and hardware as required.

- Ensure the security and integrity of the school's IT systems, implementing best practices for data protection and cybersecurity.

- Conduct regular maintenance and performance checks on all IT equipment.

- Collaborate with the school's administration and teaching staff to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.

- Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, incidents, and resolutions.

- Provide training and guidance to staff and students on the use of IT equipment and software.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in IT and education technology.

Requirements

- 2 - 8 years' Proven experience in IT support, preferably in the education sector.

- Strong knowledge of Windows and possibly macOS operating systems, but not essential.

- Experience with networking protocols and hardware.

- Familiarity with education-specific software and platforms.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.
