About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a thriving primary school, OFSTED GOOD on a full time basis to start ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive team in a welcoming school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 2 pupils, ensuring all areas of the curriculum are covered.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports the needs of all students, including those with SEN and EAL.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and implement school initiatives.
  • Support children's social and emotional development and promote positive behaviour.
  • Manage classroom resources effectively, ensuring a well-organised and productive learning space.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and experience in delivering it effectively.
  • A passion for working with young children and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Experience working with children with additional learning needs, including EAL and SEN, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
  • A DBS check will be required (if not already held).

Desirable:

  • Experience in teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
  • Familiarity with phonics programs and effective assessment strategies.
