Description
- Manage costs relating to property projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
- Seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.
- Conduct risk, value management and cost control during projects.
- Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules with clients and contractors.
- Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the construction.
- Perform risk and value management and cost control.
- Understand the implications of health and safety regulations in the property industry.
Profile
A successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should have:
- A degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of the property industry and current property legislation.
- Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- A valid driving license as the role may involve travel to different site locations.
