Description

  • Manage costs relating to property projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
  • Seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.
  • Conduct risk, value management and cost control during projects.
  • Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time.
  • Negotiate contracts and work schedules with clients and contractors.
  • Allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages of the construction.
  • Perform risk and value management and cost control.
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations in the property industry.

Profile

A successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the property industry and current property legislation.
  • Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • A valid driving license as the role may involve travel to different site locations.
