One of our client secondary schools, rated "Good" by Ofsted, is seeking an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive team. The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a love for learning in students and is based in Harrow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and an understanding of food science.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Ensure a safe, well-equipped, and hygienic learning environment in the food technology lab.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events related to food and nutrition.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification ( QTS or equivalent).
- A degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Food Technology.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
