Salary Scale: £185 - £265 per day (Depending on experience)
The Education Matters Group are seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Harrow. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of inspiring and engaging students, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for religious studies. The role involves planning, assessing, and delivering engaging content, managing classroom dynamics effectively, and supporting the personal development of pupils.
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, encouraging critical thinking and respect for diverse beliefs and perspectives.
Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography Education lessons tailored to varying student abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum materials.
- Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes cultural and religious understanding.
- Uphold school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and academic standards.
Required Qualifications for a Geography Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new check.
