Calling all Psychology Graduates, Aspiring Psychologists and those with Mental Health support experience. Does working at a highly respected secondary school where students' mental health is the a focal point for the staff, sound like an opportunity for you? If so, at Ribbons & Reeves, we are looking for a supportive and empathetic 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant to work for a year at one of Harrows most diverse and inclusive secondary schools.

1:1 SEMH Support Assistant role | About the role:

  • A 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant could earn up to £110 a day (including holiday pay!) | Paid weekly via PAYE.
  • You will be provided with full training to provide adequate support as a 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant before undertaking the role.
  • Youll be supporting children with SEMH needs with their classwork and implementing skills and strategies developed in the classroom.
  • You will lead your extracurricular or 1:1 sessions with children outside of the classroom to further assist their learning and develop your skills.
  • You will become a friendly face for our children to see around school.
1:1 SEMH Support Assistant | About you:

  • A Degree in Psychology or a related subject from a Top UK university is a necessity.
  • It would be advantageous for candidates to have some Mental Health experience and experience with Behavioural Difficulties.
  • A 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant must have the ability to support children pastorally and academically.
  • Aspirations to become a Psychologist or Therapist in the future.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, patience and a calm temperament.
