The Primary Teacher Job

I am seeking a UK or overseas trained Primary Teacher for a Primary special school in Harrow to start as soon as possible working in an outstanding special needs school. This Harrow SEN school is based near train tube and overground stations with good bus links to both and on site parking. The Primary Teacher position is a new job as the school opens a new class on a brand new site as it expands to keep up with demand for places and local need.

The successful Primary Teacher applicant class is a friendly and stable group with a well established TA team featuring two experienced SEN specialist TAs and an HLTA all allocated full time to the class. Every Friday morning is allocated to PPA time with all 3 of the EYFS teachers on site working together in the meeting room on the short and mid term planning together.

The ideal Primary Teacher would have the following:

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Primary Teacher QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Good EYFS knowledge
  • Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references
  • Valid DBS/police checks
  • A sense of humour
