- Experienced Food Buyer & Negotiator
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in negotiating with multiple stakeholders within a recognised brand.
- Experience working within the food industry
- Strong analytical skills and experience in interpreting complex data.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working cross-functionally within a large team.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A degree or equivalent training in Business or Administration (desirable).
- Proven ability to analyse data, adapt to changing environments, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver difficult messages effectively.
- Strong organisational skills, with experience prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate resilience, ambitious objectives, and provide excellent service.
- Lead negotiations for key categories, securing national terms, and managing supplier relationships.
- Forecast and manage budgets, including income and levy management for brand lines.
- Develop new product strategies and collaborate with suppliers to maintain a robust supply base.
- Manage promotional plans and ensure competitive pricing across product ranges.
- Conduct seasonal buying, including managing stock and exit strategies for key periods.
- Handle cost price negotiations and supply chain management to optimise product availability.
- Lead category reviews and collaborate with internal teams to achieve consensus on national supplier strategies.
- Contribute to product development and strategy to increase brand share.
