About role :

Tuition School is seeking well-qualified and knowledgeable tutors for KS2, KS3, and GCSE in Maths, English, and Science to join our team in Harrow. This is a face-to-face position that involves teaching a group of students.


Applicants must have :

  • Relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong commitment to pupil welfare.
  • A solid command of the curriculum, effective behaviour management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in building rapport quickly and effectively.
  • A talent for planning creative and engaging lessons.


Key responsibilities :

  • Teach students the National Curriculum, mark classwork and homework, and provide detailed feedback.
  • Conduct group lessons for students of varying ages and proficiency levels.
  • Develop customised lesson plans and materials to address the specific needs of each student.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and materials to ensure effective instruction.
  • Maintain records of student progress and provide regular updates.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in related field (Masters degree is a plus) or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Teaching Qualification (QTS/QTLS) is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong proficiency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience.
  • A passion for teaching and a dedication to helping students succeed.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Applicants should live within easy commuting distance of the Tuition School.

Schedule: 12-16 hours per week


Working hours :

  • Monday to Friday : 4.30-9.00pm
  • Saturday : 2.30-8.30pm
