Join our dynamic team at the School of Building Services, Health & Social Care, Construction, and Art as a full-time Lecturer in Health & Social Care. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality education to learners aged 16-19, preparing them for successful careers in the health and social care sector.
Day-to-day of the role:- Teach across the Level 3 T Level Technical Qualification in Health and BTEC Health and Social Care Levels 1, 2, and 3.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and the needs of learners at different stages of their education.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure content is current and reflective of industry standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Degree in Nursing or a related area, with current or recent clinical experience in the health/social care sector.
- Experience in teaching or training, preferably within a relevant educational context.
- If not already held, willingness to obtain a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (support provided).
- Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing diverse learning environments and promoting an inclusive classroom.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest industry and educational trends.
