Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Teesside Based

About the Role: As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our Accounting & Finance team. Your responsibilities will include analysing key financial information, optimising financial planning, and assisting senior business managers with decision-making. You'll prepare financial reports, develop cost-reduction strategies, and contribute to operational efficiency within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and reporting of the plant financial performance each month, analysing and interpreting results and providing commentary against budget / forecast
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, completion of balance sheet reconciliations and balance sheet reviews with the corporate finance team.
  • Assist with the production of the monthly forecast and creation of the annual plant budget
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and tracking project spend from approval to asset capitalisation
  • Work closely with purchasing and accounts payable departments to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Provide all departments with the financial data required to make informed decisions, including explanations/interpretation
  • Completion of board notes, tax packs and corporate finance information requests.
  • Supporting external and internal audits

Ideal Requirements for the role:

  • Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience of a busy finance function within a large multinational company
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • SAP/ERP experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver information in a concise manner
