Morson Talent are delighted to offer an opportunity for a suitably experienced HR Advisor to join our client's established team at Hartlepool Power Station on a permanent part-time basis (29.6 hours per week).

Broad Scope

  • The HR Advisor will work with a team of HR Business Partners, providing proactive employee relations case support.
  • You will work with people managers to address issues across the business, spotting trends and sharing knowledge on individual cases to ensure best practice is developed and used.
  • Continuous improvement is highly valued within the business, so you will be encouraged to provide feedback on processes, procedures and ‘lessons learned' in order to improve the delivery of stakeholder support.
  • You will proactively drive interventions with people managers to address identified people issues across the business and making recommendations to the wider HR team.
  • You will liaison with key functions such as legal and local trade union representatives regarding people issues.

Key/Typical responsibilities:

  • Providing proactive, professional HR advice and guidance.
  • Building effective working relationships with your stakeholders across the business, including Trade Union representatives.
  • Assisting managers across the business aiding them in their understanding and implementation of business policies, relative to your employment case portfolio.
  • Assisting managers in informal and formal case meetings you will be responsible for taking appropriate notes and preparing relevant outcome documentation.
    • Where there are points and elements of cases which increase risk to the individual and business, you will discuss appropriate action with the HR Business Partner Team and/or Employee Relations team providing early insight and offering options.
    • Briefing the HR team on the status of cases and approach being taken.
    • Supporting the wider community, you will provide valuable feedback and insight from your case work to enrich the data used in workshops, training, coaching and guidance to support development and growth.
  • Collaborating with managers and collating the required documentation to formulate hearing packs, or signposting managers to the correct templates and policies.
  • Maintaining up to date records.
  • Utilising technology to track progress as well as record and maintain accurate case records.

Who you are…

  • Ideally you will be CIPD level 3 qualified and above, or working towards, or have demonstrable experience within a HR role with Case experience.
  • Previous experience in an HR or employee relations role with a good up to date understanding of employment law is important.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You should have the ability to interpret data, utilise dashboards to identify trends and maintain and monitor HR systems, all whilst ensuring the accuracy of data.
  • Strong experience with complex HR Cases and experience working with TU's.
  • You'll need experience working with a broad range of stakeholders such as senior leaders and trade union representatives, with good written and verbal communication skills.
