Major Recruitment are looking to appoint a Process Engineer for a client in Hartlepool. Our client is a well-established business with an impeccable reputation for quality of products and services.

Main duties:

  • Work in accordance with all the EHS requirements, policies and principles.
  • Preparing engineering documents, data sheets
  • Plan and manage the installation & commissioning of new or modified plant.
  • Participate in major capital project teams and support the process engineering input

to these projects to ensure that development, design, and data provision activities

are completed to meet agreed targets of scope, cost and time.

  • Lead/participate in HAZOPs and Design review studies, quantified risk assessments
  • Take a key role in process improvement activities and support manufacturing

troubleshooting & optimisation.

  • Arrange process safety reviews

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional body (e.g. IChemE)
  • Project management
  • Ability to lead problem-solving teams both cross-functional and within Production/Engineering functions

Experience:

  • 5+ years working in chemical manufacturing or process industry organisation.
  • Experience working on a COMAH site
  • Experience of projects, including EPC contracts
  • Evidence of CPD throughout career
  • Evidence of effective leadership exposure and project ownership
