A 1:1 Teaching Assistant is needed for an immediate start at a large, modern secondary school we work with in the Hartlepool area. This 1:1 Teaching Assistant position will be to support a pupil in KS3 with their learning. This full time role will be long term and ongoing.
Experience in supporting children with any SEMH needs would be an advantage but is not essential - a willingness to learn and engage with the pupils and their needs is the most important quality we are looking for.
Although a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential, it is desirable and we can signpost you to training providers to enhance your skills. Posts vary from short term to long term but we require staff that are flexible and willing to learn from experienced staff at the school.
The successful 1:1 Secondary Teaching Assistant will;
* have relevant experience in supporting pupils in KS3
* be able to adapt to situations showing flexibility
* ideally have experience of working with children with ASD and SEMH needs
Please note that the rate of pay is dependant on the level of experience and the qualifications achieved to date.
In addition, to work for us as a Secondary Teaching Assistant you must:
• Provide two referees we can contact
• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
