Contracts Engineer

Company Overview:
Our client, a market leader specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of innovative solutions for noise reduction and compliance with environmental standards, is seeking a talented Contracts Engineer to join their skilled team.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background and in handling contracts within the mechanical site installation sector, preferably, with experience in pricing, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling, evaluation of bids, monitoring performance & resolution of claims and disputes.
An interest in projects involving noise reduction solutions is beneficial and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects, preferably within the processing, installation industry, or a related engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire project life-cycle, from planning and design to execution and closeout.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects.
- Prepare and review project documents, including terms and conditions, scope of work and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of services.
Requirements:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, ideally within mechanical installation.
- Familiarity with EIA chapter drafting is beneficial.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar 2D/3D software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- UK Driving Licence required.
