Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant - 12 Month FTC

Location: Hassocks

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, hybrid working

Salary: 25,000-29,000 per annum

Office Angels have teamed up with our client, a reputable organisation based in Hassocks, who is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join their residential team!

As a key member of this team, you will provide essential administrative and secretarial support, ensuring smooth operations and excellent client service.

The ideal candidate will be someone with legal experience and who has knowledge or experience of the conveyancing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and forms.
  • Complete standard forms independently and produce letters.
  • Manage applications for registration at Land Registry and conduct necessary searches.
  • Handle general telephone inquiries and relay messages efficiently.
  • Open and close files using the company's file opening system, maintaining an organised filing system.
  • Assist with financial transactions, prepare completion statements, and invoices.
  • Contribute to team meetings and participate in training opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in residential property is essential.
  • A legal background or knowledge of the conveyancing process is preferred.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional telephone manner.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Good written English and grammar skills.
