We are advertising this role on behalf of our client, who is seeking a Professional Horticultural Area Sales Manager to join the existing sales team at their Albourne branch. As a Horticultural Area Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the sales of new and used Horticultural Machinery and its associated equipment. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the horticultural industry, focusing on sectors such as golf, councils, and large estates.
Day to Day of the Role
- Visit customers to maximize sales opportunities in a courteous and effective manner.
- Represent the dealership and its portfolio of brands within a clearly defined sales area.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and attend customer-focused events.
- Ensure that products are delivered to customers in line with brand and company guidelines, ensuring a first-class customer experience.
- Build strong and loyal relationships with customers within the sales area.
- Achieve and exceed sales performance targets as set out by the direct line manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Good, sound knowledge of the Horticultural industry and its equipment.
- Proven sales, service, or parts experience within this sector.
- Excellent customer service skills both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Target driven with the ability to upsell to achieve and exceed targets.
- Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.
- Influencing and persuading skills, with the ability to close a deal.
- Ability to demonstrate equipment where necessary.
- Administratively organised.
- A full driving licence is required.
