Legal Cashier - Law Firm

Seeking an experienced Legal Cashier with at least 2 years of client-side experience in a law firm. The role involves managing cashiering functions in compliance with SRA Account Rules and firm policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Banking & Reconciliation: Process client/business receipts & payments, reconcile accounts, manage electronic transactions (CHAPS, BACs, FPC).
  • Client Funds Management: Monitor transactions, complete CHAPS payments, handle foreign payments, process client-to-business transfers.
  • Financial Administration: Apply client interest, manage petty cash, process cheques, maintain ledgers, run reports.
  • Compliance & Support: Ensure adherence to SRA rules, assist Finance Manager, handle internal/external queries.

Requirements:

  • Essential: 2+ years as a Legal Cashier, knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules, numeracy, accuracy, and MS Office skills.
  • Desirable: Experience with Partner for Windows, strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
