Quantity Surveyor - Fire Protection Systems
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a hybrid role? Our client, a leading specialist in the design and installation of commercial fire sprinkler systems, is looking to expand their team.
Based in the fast-paced retrofit department at their Hastings office, you will work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Director, and Finance team. You will act as a key link between the client's QS, finance teams, and on-site teams, with regular site visits required to provide progress updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Agree interim payment amounts with clients and track payment schedules.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs and provide monthly reports.
  • Send out subcontractor enquiries and assess quotations.
  • Place orders and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Provide commercial advice to managers.
  • Assist contract managers with financial aspects of projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits.
  • Always represent the company professionally.

About You
You'll be a motivated and detail-oriented professional eager to develop your skills and work closely with senior team members. You will be involved in the full commercial lifecycle, from tender submissions to final account agreements.

Person Specification
  • Experience in tendering, contract reviews, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Knowledge of JCT Standard Forms of Contract or similar agreements.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage budgets and track payments.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Full UK driving licence.
