I am partnering with a fantastic business seeking a cost accountant/management accountant for a 9 month duration.

This role will be varied and will involve: providing insights that support strategic decision-making and ERP implementation.

  • Cost Accounting Standard Cost Setup:
    • Setup the Standard Costing process for new ERP system
    • This will include being able to track and allocate costs for materials, labour, and overhead to ensure accurate product and service costing.
    • To enable us to analyse the cost data to identify variances, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
    • Assist in setting up cost allocation methods for different departments and production processes.
    • To be able to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost efficiency and profitability.
    • To be able to conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying cost discrepancies and providing recommendations to optimise performance.
    • To evaluate financial performance to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
    • To collaborate with production and operations teams to implement cost-saving measures
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting, as well as the ability to drive cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
